An Outstanding Regional Performance Earns SPNS a Place on the National Stage
The St. Philip Neri School Music Festival journey has reached an exciting new milestone. On Thursday, 2nd July 2026, our talented choristers delivered an exceptional performance at the Regional Kenya Music Festivals held at ACK St. Luke’s, Wote Township, Makueni County, earning an impressive 88% and finishing 2nd overall in their category.
This remarkable achievement has officially secured St. Philip Neri School’s place at the Kenya Music Festivals National Championships, where our learners will proudly represent the school at Kibabii University, Bungoma, this August.
A Performance That Captured Hearts
Performing the beautiful French Choral Set Verse, “De bonne heure du matin” (“Early in the Morning”), our learners demonstrated confidence, precision, harmony, and outstanding musical expression.
Every note reflected weeks of dedication, disciplined rehearsals, and a genuine passion for music. Their commitment was rewarded with one of the highest scores in the competition—88%—earning them the prestigious Runners-Up position and qualification for the national stage.
This achievement is more than a trophy. It is a celebration of perseverance, teamwork, and the unwavering spirit that defines St. Philip Neri School.

Qualifying for the national stage is an honour that reflects the hard work of our learners and teachers.
This August, our choir will proudly carry the St. Philip Neri School flag to Kibabii University in Bungoma County, where they will compete against some of Kenya’s best young performers during the Kenya Music Festivals National Championships.
The entire SPNS community will be cheering them on as they continue their inspiring journey.
